Job Responsibilities:
∎ The Head of Skills and Opportunities for Youth Employment and Entrepreneurship (SOYEE) will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of quality and impactful youth employment and entrepreneurship programming. He/she will lead the development and oversee the implementation of the SOYEE strategy. The post holder will be responsible for the design, development and review of strategies to ensure their technical soundness and consistency with SOYEE program approaches. In addition, he/she will provide quality technical support (strategic and operational) to SOYEE projects as required.
∎ Moreover, the Head of SOYEE will be responsible for positioning Plan International Bangladesh as a leading organization for promoting the economic opportunities for young women by advocating for their access to decent work within the private and public sectors. The position holder will be required to promote Plan International profile through networking and influencing/advocating in scaling up the creation of decent opportunities for youth economic empowerment. Within the organization, she/he will be responsible for increasing Plan International Bangladesh's SOYEE profile, and strengthening the linkages of country SOYEE programming with the wider organizational technical networks.
∎ The Head of SOYEE will lead the process of generating funds for the SOYEE programme through business development activities, which will include writing concept notes and funding proposals and as required donor representation.
Additional Requirements:
∎ We are looking for a dynamic team leader with at least 8-10 years' experience in senior management position especially in the field of youth employment and entrepreneurship, with a specific focus on gender and private sector engagement. Experience in rights-based program development and management on women's' and girls' economic empowerment is mandatory. Experience in influencing and partnership-building and representing organizations to agencies at high level externally.
