∎ As the Head of Potato you will oversee a large, year-round potato production, Sales & Marketing and cold storage facility. You will also work closely with our Sales, Accounting, and Human Resources departments to ensure the highest level of customer service to both internal and external customers.
∎ Head of Potato will be responsible for all facility operations including production, storage strategy, maintenance and overall facility management.
∎ Job Location: Plot-15, Road-02, Block-H, Aftab Nagar, Badda, Dhaka-1212
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Provide management, leadership, and strategic vision in creation of potato production, Sales & Marketing, Export & Import process of Potato and operations to the Management.
∎ Ensure that all technical and mechanical systems are functioning properly for potato production and storage operations.
∎ Coordinate with Senior Management to create processes and systems to ensure effective management and implementation across the organization.
∎ Direct the activities of the department and determine how team resources should be allocated across the company.
∎ Provide strong and effective support to regional and field level management teams.
∎ Ensure that project implementation is responsive to target communities and partners and aligned with company core values, strategic plan and guiding principles.
∎ Monitor adherence to grant agreement, Company policies and procedures and relevant external rules and regulations including the System.
∎ Serve as primary Project Management support assisting managers for delivering successful implementation and achieve results.
∎ Track department annual budgets and forecasts to explain variance, and propose and take steps for programmatic course corrections when necessary. Review different reports to ensure strong financial oversight.
∎ Plan & visit field as necessary to assist in field management. Develop and maintain professional working relationships with clients, partners, research institution, principles, export-import officials and other relevant stakeholders.
∎ Establish tools and systems to track reports and deliverables to ensure the completion and submission of all required management reports.
∎ Create a work atmosphere conducive to professional growth and development of excellent personnel at all levels.
∎ Promote accountability by conducting staff annual performance reviews with direct supervisees, and ensuring that all staff members are effectively using the performance planning and management system.
Additional Requirements:

∎ Strong experience of at least 15 years of progressive management experience in a potato production, Sales & Marketing, Export & Import environment.
∎ Extensive knowledge of potato production, Sales & Marketing, Export & Import process of Potato and operations.
∎ Expertise in maintain liaison with officials of Ministry of Agriculture, Department of Agriculture Extensions, agricultural offices, research centers working for the development of Seed potato sector.
∎ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
∎ Proficient in MS Office.
∎ Knowledge of Continuous Improvement strategies and a track record leading a team in efficient and safe operations.
∎ Strong experience with communication technologies as research and development tools.
∎ Demonstrated leadership, ethics, and sound judgement, both independently and as part of a team.
∎ Willingness to travel frequently and work under field conditions.
