Educational Requirements:
∎ Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Marketing
∎ • Honor’s with Master’s Degree preferably in Apparel Management/Marketing from a reputed Public or Private (NSU, IUB, AIUB, BRAC, EWU) or Foreign University
∎ • MBA in Marketing or Apparel Management with PGD in Garments Business Operations will get added preference
∎ University of Dhaka,North South University,BRAC University,Independent University, Bangladesh,East West University students will get preference
∎ Skills Required: Buyer Handling, Merchandising, Team Leadership
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 12 year(s)
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following area(s):
Marketing and merchandising
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
Garments
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Oversee the day-to-day merchandising operations including communication, assigning task to team members, implementing initiatives handed down by the Management;
∎ Develop strategic plan by analyzing technological & financial opportunities, presenting assumptions and recommending objectives;
∎ Plan & develop merchandising strategies that balance buyers’ expectations & company’s objectives;
∎ Analysis the market trends to hunt for new buyers to ensure full utilization of capacity of the production units by promoting organizational strength and maintaining continuous customer relation & communication;
∎ On time communication to be ensured with buyers, analysis of price to negotiate, quantities & time scales;
∎ Lead, motivate and ensure 7 Habits of organization among the team;
∎ Partnering the strategic decision making; follow up with QC department, commercial & SCM department and other relevant entity to ensure smooth production, shipment on time with quality;
∎ Strategic analysis of past & current sales information and forecast for upcoming sales;
∎ Monitor PO from buyer on time sample process according to buyer requirement;
∎ Strong rapport building with business partner & cross functional team with partner to build pipeline and close deals;
∎ Follow up and monitor on time shipment as per buyer’s demand or process;
∎ Train, guide and proactive cooperation to the team mates to distribute work load among team mates in a competitive way;
∎ Ensure relevant merchandising files are maintained & updated by the team;
∎ Ensure relevant training needs assessment and action plan to train the team up;
