Education:
    • Bachelor of Law (LLB)
  • Bachelor’s (LLB) or Master’s (LLM) degree in Law from a well-recognized University.

  • Advocateship from Bangladesh Bar Council

  • The candidate must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in leadership role at a reputed organization.

  • Strong knowledge of intellectual property law, contract law, and international trade law.

  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills to effectively convey legal advice and strategies.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

  • Ability to identify and remedy complex legal issues without inviting the services of external legal advice

  • High ethical standards and integrity, essential for maintaining the organization`s legal and regulatory compliance.

  • Must be a result-driven and service-driven individual



Responsibilities & Context:
  • Develop and execute legal strategies aligned with business goals, ensuring full compliance with laws, regulations, and internal policies.

  • Offer senior management and other departments legal assistance on various topics, including contracts, employment law, intellectual property, and regulatory concerns.

  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with partners, suppliers, clients, and stakeholders to safeguard the company’s legal and commercial interests.

  • Oversee and coordinate litigation, disputes, and case workflows, including sales-related cases and credit recovery matters; represent the company in special case hearings and collaborate with external counsel to ensure timely and favorable resolutions.

  • Oversee employment law matters including employee contracts, workplace policies, employee relations and terminations, while ensuring compliance with labor laws and governance standards.

  • Protect the organization`s intellectual property rights through patents, trademarks, copyrights etc.

  • Provide legal support for mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate transactions, covering due diligence, negotiations, and documentation.

  • Managing the legal department`s budget, staffing, and external legal expenditures effectively

  • Staying updated on legal developments, industry trends, and best practices to ensure the organization remains legally compliant and strategically positioned
