• Bachelor of Law (LLB)
• Master of Law (LLM)

• LLB & LLM with no third (3) class/division or equivalent in any level of academic career. Candidates must have membership of the High court Division of the Supreme of Bangladesh.

• At least 16 years
• The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Banks, Share Brokerage/ Securities House

• Age At most 48 years

• Minimum sixteen (16) years` work experience in dealing with all legal areas in the relevant fields.

• Applicants must have MS Office literacy.

• Minimum sixteen (16) years` work experience in dealing with all legal areas including practical experience in providing legal opinion and vetting along with at least five (05) years as Legal Officer in any bank or financial institution with proven track record.

Responsibilities:

• To keep NBL and all of its subsidiaries safe and secured from all sort of complications related with Legal issues as assign time to time;

• Drafting, vetting/review of Agreement/MOU/Legal Opinion time to time and providing legal opinion as and when required subject to gravity and urgency by the management.

• Initiation of Legal Actions and steps against the defaulter Borrowers for recovery of NPL accounts through Branch and Head Office Legal Team.

• To monitoring and follow-up with branch and/or Litigation Department for filing case and further guidance for quick disposal of the case.

• Ensuring smooth functioning of NBL’s business and cores functional activities with others departments and functions of the Bank in compliance with all existing Legal norms & practices.

• Ensure regular reporting of Bangladesh Bank/Finance Ministry/other regulatory Authorities.

• Issuing and reply of legal Notice to the defaulter to others concern as required time to time.

• Preparing Office Note, Approval for payment of various bills, auction acceptance Permission.

• Efficient Management and deployment of Law officer for the Division having relevant expertise as per Policy & Procedure Guideline.

• Filing and/or Monitoring of the Case related with Appeal, Review, Revision, Writ in the High Court Division and further proceeding of Appellate Division of Bangladesh Supreme Court of Bangladesh.

• Maintaining health relationship with the Court officials and Lawyers who are related with the litigation process.

• Keeping in touch with the law enforcing agency (Police/CID/DB/SB/RAB/PIB) including with the office of Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC)

• Enrollment/engagement of Lawyer(s) for dealing the legal matter, providing legal opinion, property vetting, search report against Property and filing suit for recovery to protect interest of the Bank and any others assignment assigned time to time.

• Making recommendation for payment of various bills related with litigation and others law related purpose.

• Ensure necessary support and guidance to the respective stakeholders of the Bank for taking prompt decision and active performance towards the Bank.

• Review and drafting the policy related with the operation and proceeding of the Legal Division.

• Taking possessions of the Mortgaged Properties received under Sec 33 (5) or 33 (7) of Artha Rin Adalot Ain.

• Providing all sorts MIS & data support related with Recovery & Law/Legal (Case-CR & ARA/ARJ/Supreme Court Matter, including CIB and others issues).

• Development and modification of Software/Dash-Board base Case Management.

• Maintaining case data base (information) centrally for all wings of the Bank and provide as & when required.

• Deals with bills/Recovery incentive and take steps for obtaining necessary approval.
