  • Bachelor/Master degree from any reputed institution.

  • Minimum 15 years of experience in Legal Affairs and Recovery Operations with at least 3–5 years of leadership experience managerial or departmental leadership role.

  • Experience in manufacturing/distribution-based organizations is strongly preferred.

  • Strong experience in handling litigation, debt recovery, and distributor management.

  • High integrity and strong decision-making capability.



Responsibilities & Context:

Legal Affairs Management

  • Lead and oversee all legal matters including litigation, notices, agreements, and regulatory compliance to safeguard the organization’s legal position.

  • Manage external counsels and ensure all legal actions are executed effectively, timely, and with optimal cost control.

  • Review and validate all key agreements such as MoUs, supplier agreements, and distributor agreements to ensure alignment with legal standards and business interests.

  • Ensure governance of legal documentation, maintaining accurate case records and providing management with strategic insights on legal risks.

  • Lead high-stakes negotiations and dispute resolutions, ensuring outcomes that protect the organization’s financial and legal interests.

Recovery Management

  • Lead nationwide recovery operations with a strong focus on chronic defaulters, long-outstanding accounts, and high-risk parties to ensure firm control over overdue dues.

  • Develop and enforce structured recovery action plans—including escalation steps, field follow-ups, settlement negotiations, and legal intervention for non-cooperative parties.

  • Assess and categorize defaulter distributors based on risk, payment behavior, dispute history, and recommend decisive actions.

  • Coordinate with Finance & Accounts, Sales to resolve disputes related to pricing, invoicing, claims, or payment mismatches that affect recovery.

  • Lead direct negotiations with difficult or long-term defaulters, ensuring settlements, restructuring of dues, or legal recovery actions to safeguard the company’s financial interests.

Leadership & Strategy

  • Lead, mentor, and supervise the Legal & Recovery team.

  • Establish departmental KPIs and ensure team performance meets targets.

  • Prepare and present periodical reports on recovery performance, legal case status, and risk areas to senior management.
