∎ Job Location : Head Office, Dhaka
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Manage and analysis database performance, high availability and capacity of systems.
∎ Manage operations and configuration for backend database and related web servers, including database performance optimization, upgrading, applying patches, securing, tuning, audit-tracking and reporting.
∎ Build database schema, tables, procedures and permissions.
∎ Strong Knowledge of Database Backup and recovery using RMAN and logical backup
∎ Control access permissions and privileges.
∎ Implement table and index partitioning when required
∎ Analyze, consolidate and tune database for optimal efficiency.
∎ Oversee backups, database server clusters, mirroring, replication and failover.
∎ Restore and recover corrupted databases.
∎ Implement data backup, business continuity and disaster recovery plans for the managed systems.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum of 5 years experience in IT field in non-life insurance company.
∎ Thorough knowledge of Oracle RDBMS 10g and 11g environments
∎ 5+ years in Database Administration/support in Oracle RDBMS 8i/9i/10g and 11g
∎ Strong shell scripting knowledge.
∎ Strong Database and RAC implementations experience and troubleshooting skills in mission critical Environment
∎ Strong knowledge of Oracle Database Tuning and using stats pack
