Responsibilities & Context:
Nagar Holdings Limited, a well-established real estate developer in Dhaka, specializes in both premium and economy residential and commercial projects. We are inviting applications from competent and dynamic professionals for the position of Head of Engineering to lead our Engineering Department.
The incumbent will be responsible for the overall construction management of multiple projects, ensuring quality, cost, and timely delivery. He will supervise all site engineers, coordinate contractors, review designs and drawings, and act as the key technical authority of the company.
Lead and supervise all engineering and construction activities across multiple real estate projects.
Plan, organize, and monitor overall construction schedules and ensure project completion within time, cost, and quality targets.
Manage and guide all site engineers and technical teams; allocate responsibilities and monitor performance.
Review and interpret all kinds of engineering drawings—structural, architectural, electrical, plumbing, fire safety, and other relevant designs.
Coordinate with design consultants, architects, and contractors to resolve design or construction issues.
Maintain liaison with clients, provide necessary engineering support, and ensure proper technical service during and after project handover.
Review, verify, and approve contractors’ bills, work progress reports, and material requisitions.
Prepare and monitor project budgets, BOQs, cost estimates, and progress reports for management.
Ensure adherence to safety standards, quality control, and local building codes at all project sites.
Manage contractors and vendors, negotiate terms, and ensure contractual obligations are met.
Conduct regular site visits, inspections, and progress meetings; identify risks and ensure corrective actions.
Implement and improve construction processes, quality standards, and departmental SOPs.
Report regularly to management on project progress, cost control, and performance.
Perform any other responsibilities assigned by the management.
