Job Responsibilities:
∎ Overall responsibility of Distribution and logistics for cement business
∎ Arranging and allocating trucks against orders from sales
∎ Maximisation of utilisation of Company owned trucks
∎ Allocation of trucks as per their size to maximise realisation
∎ Ensure proper checks and balances regarding travel distances, travel time and fuel utilisation of the trucks
∎ Ensure authentic daily reports on dispatch and stock
∎ Ghat management – Arrival, availability & stock of materials along with truck utilisation at the Ghats
∎ Driver management – From recruitment to motivation and retention of truck drivers
∎ Warehouse management – Managing availability and ageing of stock (ensure FIFO)
∎ Trawler Vendor management – Arranging alternative trawler vendors/suppliers at all ghats. Timely submission of bills along with monthly balance confirmation from existing vendors.
∎ Manpower – Motivating and leading the Distribution team, proper allocation of labours, coordination among supervisors etc.
