Educational Requirements:
∎ Masters degree in any discipline
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 15 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ All import operations of customs assessment mainly IM4 (Capital Machinery, Spare parts, Raw Materials etc.) & IM7 (Chemical, Dyes, Yarn, etc.)
∎ All import operation related to depots (Raw Cotton, Sodium sulphate, Soda ash etc.)
∎ Overall export operation.
∎ All the delivery & examination process of Chittagong port.
∎ Looking up transport issues for smooth operation for both import and export.
∎ Checking and approving import & export bills and arrange fund by consulting with respected concerns of HO to save huge duty, fine-penalty & demurrage.
∎ Develop and execute comprehensive logistics strategies to streamline the movement of goods from suppliers to customers
∎ Oversee customs clearance processes for imports and exports, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
∎ Manage relationships with customs authorities and shipping agencies to facilitate smooth clearance and forwarding of goods.
∎ Develop and execute commercial strategies to maximize revenue and profitability.
∎ Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers, customers, and shipping partners.
∎ Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities and threats.
∎ Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, import/export laws, and customs procedures.
∎ Develop and manage budgets for logistics, clearing, forwarding, and commercial operations.
∎ Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement cost-control measures
∎ Identify and mitigate risks related to transportation, customs, and commercial operations.
∎ Develop contingency plans to address potential disruptions in the supply chain.
∎ Prepare and present regular reports on key performance metrics and financial results to senior management.
∎ Conduct data analysis to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
∎ Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, ensuring their needs are met and expectations are exceeded.
∎ Stay updated on changes in trade regulations and adapt operations accordingly.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 35 years
∎ Bachelor's or Master's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.
∎ Extensive experience in logistics, customs clearing, forwarding, and commercial operations.
∎ Strong knowledge of international trade regulations and customs procedures.
∎ Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
∎ Proficiency in using logistics and supply chain management software.
∎ Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
∎ Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
