Business Development is one of the key processes for business expansion and growth. The jobholder is expected to ensure the development and delivery of strategies and plans to build business capabilities and effectiveness. S/he also aligns with other core processes like operations, finance & accounts, commercial, supply chain, human resources, compliance, IT, etc., each of which has decisive and long-lasting impacts on the overall performance of the Business. Main challenge for the job holder is to ensure the implementation of business strategies that meet the future needs of the business.
As a part of the management team, the job holder needs to possess the knowledge and ability to contribute to all the new business opportunities, development work streams and overall business expansion strategy.
Job Responsibilities:
• Prepare business development activity plans for board/CEO/EC approval for excellence in business performance.
• Monitor implementation of plans coming out from CEO/EC strategies and other functional strategies and keep CEO/EC informed for corrective action.
• Follow the laid down process to prepare, present, improve and get timely approvals of ABP and Vision documents.
• Accumulate right info, monitor and report on the implementation of ABP and Vision.
• Conduct site surveys/FGD’s and recommend sites to set up appropriate outlet formats to support the expansion programs
• Ensure on time and appropriate approval[s] of special projects and monitor their timely implementations.
• Develop, produce, and follow up the Feasibility Analysis along with the Business Plans for selected sites.
• Predict and identify trends and dynamics within the external marketplace in relation to business expansion and provide recommendations on how to leverage those.
• Ensure all strategies are in place to assess the development needs of the business at all levels in the context of the growth requirements.
• Effectively synchronize different project & property work streams for efficient achievement of aggregate output while ensuring right support to all functions in the Business.
• Planning and implementation of scheduled maintenance of all outlet.
• Develop Business Development team members through on-going training, as provided by the company or elsewhere subject to Company approval.
• Implementation and monitoring of QMS process of all Project & Property
• Monitor & ensure implementation of new projects work as per plan.
• Undertakes studies/ analysis on various business projects to enhance pre and post project performance.
• Source right/ capable vendors for project & property work & evaluate the credibility of the vendors’ product/ service.
• Negotiate with new vendor to bring operational and cost efficiency.
• Seek, develop and promote new business opportunities
