Responsibilities & Context:
Position Overview:
Akij Telecom Limited is seeking a dynamic, visionary, and results-driven Head of Business to lead the company’s strategic growth, business operations, and market expansion. The incumbent will play a pivotal role in launching, scaling, and positioning Akij Telecom as a leading player in the ICT and telecom solutions sector of Bangladesh.
Key Responsibilities:
Define and execute long-term business strategies in alignment with group objectives.
Identify emerging market opportunities and develop business plans accordingly.
Drive the launch and scale-up of new telecom and ICT solutions and services.
Develop and manage a high-performing corporate sales team.
Identify key accounts, build partnerships, and oversee B2B negotiations.
Expand the customer base across sectors: government, enterprise, and SME.
Lead development and execution of product portfolio (ICT, ISP, VoIP, VAS, cloud, managed services).
Coordinate with technology, R&D, and marketing teams for new product innovation.
Drive revenue growth, profitability, and cost optimization.
Manage budgeting, forecasting, pricing, and financial performance.
Work closely with SCM, HR, Admin, Marketing, Finance, and IT to ensure seamless operations.
Liaise with regulatory bodies and ensure compliance with telecom regulations (BTRC, NBR, etc.).
Build and lead a motivated, agile, and accountable business team.
Drive performance culture and capability development across functions.
