Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Develop and implement HR policies tailored to factory-level operations and workforce needs.
∎ Oversee recruitment and onboarding of factory workers and staff, ensuring alignment with production demands.
∎ Manage timekeeping, attendance systems, and payroll accuracy for factory employees.
∎ Foster a positive and disciplined work environment on the factory floor.
∎ Address and resolve grievances from factory workers and staff efficiently.
∎ Ensure smooth operations of all factory administrative functions, including utilities, maintenance, and housekeeping.
∎ Oversee the factory’s transport, canteen, and dormitory facilities (if applicable).
∎ Establish and enforce protocols for managing factory emergencies, including fire, natural disasters, and industrial accidents.
∎ Monitor and control factory-related administrative budgets and expenses.
∎ Ensure the factory complies with all labor laws, safety regulations, and international compliance standards (e.g., BSCI, WRAP, SEDEX).
∎ Conduct regular internal audits of factory processes to identify and address compliance gaps.
∎ Liaise with external auditors, buyers, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance readiness.
∎ Develop and implement safety programs to minimize workplace injuries and hazards.
∎ Leverage military experience to maintain high standards of discipline and security across the factory premises.
∎ Implement effective access control measures and monitor factory premises for safety and security risks.
∎ Train and supervise security personnel to handle emergencies, including theft, fire, and unrest.
∎ Address and mitigate worker unrest or dispute risks in collaboration with HR and legal teams.
∎ Monitor and improve factory workers’ living and working conditions, such as clean water, sanitation, and a healthy work environment.
∎ Organize training sessions on workplace safety, health, and rights awareness—Foster teamwork and productivity by promoting fairness and mutual respect.
∎ Work closely with factory management to align HR, admin, and compliance functions with production goals.
∎ Use factory performance data to make informed decisions regarding resource allocation and workforce planning.
∎ Act as a bridge between senior management and the factory-level workforce to maintain open communication.
