Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Geography, Surveying, Engineering or related field.
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 6 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Designing Base maps with geographic data and other data sources.
∎ Creating "shapefiles" to merge topographical data with external data by layering external data over a topographical map.
∎ Visit Multiple organization for mapping and to collect ground data, shapefile to prepare the base map.
∎ Developing mapping applications and tools.
∎ Collect, generate and manage spatial data at project, regional and global scales.
∎ Discovering patterns and trends through spatial mapping of data.
∎ Converting physical maps into a digital form for computer usage.
∎ Performing data munging and cleaning to convert data into its desired form.
∎ Produce reports on geographic data utilizing data visualizations.
∎ Managing a digital library of geographic maps in various file types.
∎ Conduct spatial analyses and produce maps to meet reporting requirements.
∎ Execute the workflow of remote sensing analysis (data acquisition, re-projection, geometric correction, radiometric correction, classification, and map production).
∎ Visit project sites for mapping and to collect ground data to prepare the base map.
∎ Contribute to creation and review of feasibility studies, Project Documents and monitoring reports.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Good academic records.
∎ Experience with mapping tools.
∎ Attention to detail and good problem-solving skills.
∎ Analytical mindset.
∎ Must have good verbal and written communication skills both in English.
∎ Should have Creativity, Technological Awareness and ability to work in a team.
∎ Superior organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
∎ Must be self-motivated, hardworking and flexible regarding work hour.
∎ Good knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
