POSITION PROFILE
The General Protection Officer – Case Management plays a key role in ensuring the high-quality implementation of case management activities, in alignment with the broader DRC protection programme in Bangladesh. The officer is responsible for managing individual protection cases, with technical guidance from the Protection Manager, Coordinator and direct day-to-day supervision from the Protection Team Leader (PTL).
In addition to case management responsibilities, the officer is expected to strengthen and maintain collaborative relationships with relevant humanitarian actors, governance structures, and other DRC teams. The role includes active representation of DRC at field-level coordination platforms, including the protection sector and inter-agency forums, in close coordination with the PTL.
Furthermore, with support from the Protection Team Leader, the officer is responsible for ensuring that all case management activities are fully compliant with donor requirements and DRC’s internal policies on reporting, accountability, and data protection.
