Job Context:
∎ NGO Forum is seeking to recruit a highly motivated individual with exceptional communication skills to support to gender equality and social inclusion efforts through WASH services.As part of the Project Team this position is required to work with a range of stakeholders including local government institutes and other humanitarian agencies to improve inclusive WASH.
∎ The duration of the project will be until June 30, 2022
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Support the integration of gender equality and social inclusion practices into WASH implementation throughout the project by designing interventions for specific target groups, e.g. children, youth groups, men, women, elderly people and people with special needs
∎ Collaborate with and support the Project team to ensure that all the project activities are inclusive, particularlyin relation to the women and girls.
∎ Ensure that the project activities are effectively implemented, and the gender needs are responded and monitored properly.
∎ Conduct hands-on orientation/training for project staff such as community-based volunteers, and community stakeholderson gender inclusion.
∎ Represent NGO Forum in the external sectoral engagement especially at WASH sector coordination body meetings to promote gender inclusion.
∎ Work closely with Oxfam and Cox’s Bazar WASH Sector and relevant stakeholderssuch as local government services, humanitarian agenciesto maximize opportunities for collaboration
∎ Prepare case studies capturing both positive and negative outcomes with special focus on gender inclusion/ lesson learning.
∎ Manage the documentation and dissemination ofinnovative gender equality and social inclusion approaches, experiences and lessons learnt.
∎ Ensure a constant and ongoing context understanding, especially related to community gender power dynamics.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Minimum of three years’ work experience in a similar role supporting gender, equity and social inclusion strategies
∎ Demonstrated experience in building the capacity of teams and/or partners in gender, equity, and social inclusion
∎ Proven track record of engaging and managing relationships with a variety of stakeholders
∎ Working with communities using participatory methodologies such as conducting qualitative interviews e.g., leading focus groups, one-on-one interviews etc.
∎ Understanding of and commitment to adhere to equity, diversity, gender, child safety and staff health and wellbeing principles
∎ Strong interest in water, sanitation, and hygiene, and gender in emergencies (GiE) / gender justice (GJ)
∎ Staff coaching and mentorship skills
∎ Proficient with the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
∎ Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English
∎ Excellent time management skills, flexibility, and an ability to prioritize tasks
∎ Ability to demonstrate sensitivity to cultural differences and gender issues, as well as the commitment to equal opportunities.
∎ Ability to demonstrate an openness and willingness to learn about the application of gender/gender mainstreaming, women’s rights, and diversity for all aspects of development work.
∎ Ability to work independently and as team player
∎ A positive ‘can do’ attitude

Salary: Tk. 80000 (Monthly)
