Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 2 years of professional experience with Laravel (v10/11/12 preferred).
• Proficiency in Inertia.js and React.js (React 18+ preferred).
• Solid understanding of MySQL (query optimisation, relationships, indexing).
• Hands-on experience with REST API development and integration.
• Proficiency in Tailwind CSS for building responsive and modern interfaces.
• Knowledge of authentication & authorisation (e.g., Sanctum, Passport, or JWT).
• Solid experience with Git and team-based workflows (branching, pull requests, code reviews).
• Familiarity with queues, caching, broadcasting (Laravel Echo, Reverb, or Pusher).

Good to Have (Bonus Skills)

• Knowledge of Server-Sent Events (SSE) and Laravel Reverb for real-time features.
• Understanding of Server-Side Rendering (SSR) with React or Next.js.
• Experience with SOAP APIs and legacy system integration.
• Familiarity with Next.js for future project migrations.
• Deployment and server management skills (e.g., VPS, **Nginx, Supervisor).
• Experience with Redis, Horizon, and Queue workers.
• Knowledge of unit testing and Pest/PhpUnit.
• Exposure to Elasticsearch / Laravel Scout for search functionality.
• Familiarity with design patterns (DTO, Service, etc.).

Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and optimise full-stack applications using Laravel, Inertia, and React.js.
• Build and optimise RESTful APIs for scalable and secure data exchange.
• Write clean, reusable, and well-documented code following SOLID principles and design patterns.
• Implement responsive UI using Tailwind CSS and ensure a smooth user experience across devices.
• Collaborate with designers, product managers, and other developers in an agile environment.
• Integrate third-party APIs and services (REST, SOAP, where applicable).
• Deploy and manage applications on DigitalOcean / VPS and optimise for performance.
• Contribute to performance optimisation, security hardening, and scaling strategies.
• Work with Git/GitHub for version control and CI/CD workflows.
