Job Context:
∎ CODEC is an inheritor of DANIDA Bangladesh derived from couple of project intervention explicitly DANIDA Boat Building Project and Boat Rental Scheme. CODEC has been working as a people centered development organization since 1985. CODEC has been growing and evolving into efficient and effective non-governmental development organization in the coastal area of Bangladesh. From the beginning of its development intervention CODEC started its activities only with the fisher folk communities but over the period CODEC now extended its working area with other disadvantaged coastal communities along with the fisher folk community in the exposed coastal districts in Bangladesh.

∎ Community Development Centre (CODEC) is working in the coastal districts of Bangladesh since 1985. CODEC is working in the field of Micro-Finance from the inception. CODEC is also implementing different Development projects in the field of Education, Livelihood support, Environment, Legal Service, Humanitarian Field, Advocacy, Health & Nutrition etc. The aim of CODEC is to provide support and assistance to the disadvantaged coastal communities in their day to day struggle.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Preparation of payment vouchers with ensuring deduction of Taxes & VAT;
∎ Keeping invoices, staff advances other documents and records properly & safely;
∎ Data entry in accounting system;
∎ Prepare staff payroll and others.
∎ Update all financial books and records as per financial procedures following CODEC financial procedures.
∎ Ensure a mechanism of all expenses including district offices to keeping controlling within total approved budget.
∎ Maintain all the personal Files of the Project Personnel properly.
∎ Maintain leave records including annual or sick leave along with other travel approval documents properly.
∎ Maintain and update all bill and vouchers of every expenses of the program
∎ Ensure maintenance of purchase procedures.
∎ Ensure the accounts keeping, stock registers and establish a financial controlling mechanism.
∎ Maintain and update all stock registers including fixed asset properly for all offices.
∎ Ensure a physical inventory records in each district office and ensure to update it on quarterly basis.
∎ Carry out any assigned task need to be accomplishing within the due time as instruction given by Project Coordinator.
∎ Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual project Financial Reports.
∎ Keep invoice and all other related documents, so that internal & external Audit could be performed without any objections.
∎ Involve in all procurement related to program and provide compliance support to program team.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 30 to 40 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Good reporting skill in English and verbal & written communication.
∎ Financial controlling and financial reporting skills
∎ Planning and financial management skills
∎ Field level monitoring skill.
∎ Good Computer operation in MS Word, Excel, Internet and email communication
∎ Excellent communications skills.
Salary: Tk. 45000 - 50000 (Monthly)
