Experience:
Minimum of a Postgraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
Experience:
5-7 years of relevant experience, including a minimum of 3 years in the NGO, INGOs, or development sector.
Key Competencies:
Experience in accounts and finance, project implementation, documentation, reporting, and budgeting.
Proficiency in Tally accounting software, MS office packages
Strong knowledge of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) applications.
Familiarity with PSEA (Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse), safeguarding policies, and gender policies.
Skills:
Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to lead, develop, and mentor staff during organizational changes.
Ability to create a productive working environment, coaching and motivating employees to achieve organizational goals.
Proven experience in using technology to enhance financial management systems.
Capacity to effectively prioritize multiple responsibilities.
Full proficiency in English is preferred.

Position Summary: JNUS is seeking an Accounts and Finance Manager to handle core financial activities effectively. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with financial standards and supporting JNUS`s mission through diligent financial management.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports related to accounts and finance activities.
Demonstrate a strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
Maintain accurate financial records, including vouchers and entries using Tally accounting software.
Assess the efficiency, effectiveness, and impact of financial operations while identifying limitations and challenges.
Document learning experiences and best practices for current and future program development, ensuring proper reporting and documentation.
Prepare and submit progress and financial reports to donors and partners.
Conduct site visits to monitor financial initiatives and provide support and information to JNUS management.
Manage bank reconciliations and oversee banking activities.
Handle petty cash management and maintain related records accurately.
Maintain all accounts and finance registers and related documentation.
Collaborate with the Admin and HR departments on relevant financial matters.
Implement and support project activities in line with individual work plans and project objectives in collaboration with the project team.
Assist in preparing all types of financial reports, including those required for donor visits, project proposals, and periodic reporting (monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual).
Report directly to the Executive Director and perform other duties as assigned by management.
