Professional qualifications (CA Course Completed/Partly Qualified, CMA, ACCA) will be an advantage.
A minimum of 5–7 years of experience in VAT and Taxation, preferably in the construction, infrastructure, or manufacturing sector.
Strong knowledge of the Bangladesh VAT & Supplementary Duty Act and Rules.
Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems.
Good communication and analytical skills.
Responsibilities & Context:
Ensure compliance with all VAT laws, rules, and regulations.
Prepare and submit VAT returns and related statutory reports.
Maintain VAT registers, records, and documentation.
Coordinate with VAT authorities regarding assessments, audits, and compliance matters.
Review procurement, billing, and payment transactions from a VAT perspective.
Provide VAT-related guidance to project and operational teams.
Monitor changes in VAT regulations and ensure organisational compliance.
