Job Context:
∎ LAMB is a well-run major mission Hospital, Community Health Development, Training and Research organization. Services cover more than 6.3 million people in North West Bangladesh.
∎ There is a vacancy for the following contractual position based at Rangpur District for the BoT Project funded by Global Affairs Canada (GAC) and through Plan International.
∎ Job Summary: Responsible for financial transactions, record keeping and financial reporting for external donors and management. Ensure financial rules are properly followed. Able to work independently and manage the total accounts of the project office.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ 1. Assist to prepare budget, revision, and fund request to the Program Manager. Before providing budget to the Program Manager it should be checked with the Finance Manager.
∎ 2. Weekly bill/voucher checking and posting in financial system in Head Office.
∎ 3. Follow up the expenses of field office.
∎ 4. Random Sampling of expenses such as seminar, training workshop etc.
∎ 5. Involvement with local procurement and linkage with LAMB purchase department.
∎ 6. Check the bill/voucher in relation with code, budget allocation and definition.
∎ 7. Keeping update the stock and assets through ensuring the asset identification and register.
∎ 8. Responsible for the closing of each month’s accounts and the preparation of supporting schedules, such as Control account reconciliations, fixed assets and depreciation schedules..
∎ 9. To see specific assigned projects and prepare financial reports, budget variance analysis (currently Born On Time project, project implementing area- 06 upazilas, Rangpur).
∎ 10. Work closely together with Program Manager, for the process of PIP and accounts procedure.
∎ 11. Assist concerned authority to control the budget in relation with over/ under spent; produce the justification of financial variance etc.
∎ 12. Check/ update and preserve the financial papers/ documents that are needed at Field Office level as legal support. However original documents are kept at Head office .
∎ 13. Conduct financial accounts orientation for the project staff and local leaders.
∎ 14. Prepare monthly report and fund request, in cooperation with Program Manger.
∎ 15. Assist the internal/ external audit team at field as well as central office.
∎ 16. Work within LAMB and Donor financial procedure.
∎ 17. Attendant Field or head office monthly/ quarterly meetings.
∎ 18. Responsible for ensuring the accuracy of all reports, vouchers, schedules, payroll sheets and stock inventories for the Project.
∎ 19. The Accounts Officer is responsible for maintaining a register of fixed assets in spreadsheet and hard copy form, and supervising periodic inventories of all assets.
∎ 20. Integration of spiritual, emotional and social health

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 30 to 45 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Should have 5 years experience at national/international NGO in Finance. Experience with financial accounting software. Able to drive motorcycle with full valid motorcycle driving license.

Salary:
∎ Around Tk. 43,000 per month gross.
