Experience:
Master’s degree in relevant area (Accounting, Management)/MBA from a recognized university.
Candidates should have minimum 5 years of experience in the field of accounting or finance and well conversant in Accounting Software.
Strong knowledge of financial planning and budgeting, financial controls, cash flow management, payment processing, VAT/TAX, financial reporting, audit coordination, financial risk management, and grant compliance.
Good computer knowledge on MS Word, MS Excel, and PowerPoint is required.

LAMB is a well-run major mission Hospital, Community Health Development, Training and Research organization. Services cover more than 6.3 million people in North West Bangladesh.
There are vacancies for the following contractual positions at the LAMB under Community Health and Development Program (CHDP), for Preventing and Rehabilitating Obstetric and Surgical Fistula through Gender-Responsive Reproductive Health Education and Strengthened Services (PROGRESS) project, with a three-year project duration.
Job Summary: The Finance Coordinator will ensure efficient and effective financial management of the project. The role involves maintaining accurate accounting records in compliance with LAMB’s financial policies and donor requirements. S/he will ensure accuracy in books of accounts, conduct regular reconciliations, and prepare timely financial summaries, reports, and cash flow assessments. The Finance Coordinator will manage bank balances and cash holdings to avoid liquidity issues and support budget control within the approved project proposal. S/he will also contribute to donor reporting, audit coordination, and financial risk management. The position requires close collaboration with program teams for preparing monthly, quarterly, and final narrative reports, and ensuring the use of appropriate financial tools and processes at all stages.
Financial Planning and Budgeting
Develop and implement financial plans and budgets by collaboration with Project Manager of PROGRESS project.
Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to ensure alignment with project goals and donor requirements in terms of financial management.
Grant Compliance
Ensure compliance with donor requirements and grant agreements.
Work closely with project teams to monitor grant expenditures and maintain accurate records for audits.
Financial Controls & Policies and Cash Flow Management
Establish and enforce financial controls and policies of organization, government & donors.
Conduct regular reviews to ensure adherence to financial procedures and identify areas for improvement.
Manage cash flow to ensure adequate funds are available for project activities.
Monitor and forecast cash needs and coordinate with relevant teams to ensure timely disbursements.
Payment Management and VAT & Tax Management
Make payment of staff salary, volunteer incentive, vendors bills & others financial outstanding in timely manner.
Ensure VAT & Tax deduction at source and deposited into treasury within timely manner.
Provide salary certificate & Tax deduction documents to staff within timely manner.
Financial Reporting and Audit Coordination
Prepare and submit accurate and timely financial reports to management, donors and relevant authorities.
Provide financial analysis and insights to support decision-making.
Prepare for and coordinate external audits in collaboration with audit firms getting support from finance department of head office
Address audit findings and implement corrective actions as needed.
Capacity Building
Build the financial management capacity of project staff through training and support.
Financial Risk Management
Identify and assess financial risks associated with project activities.
Develop and implement strategies to mitigate financial risks.
Beyond this, Integration of spiritual, emotional & social health
Ensure spiritual concepts and holistic approach in communication, service delivery, administration and resolution of conflicts.
Ensure religious values and organizational values of staff.
Comply with WRB and LAMB policies and practices with respect to child protection, health and safety, equal opportunity and other relevant policies and procedures.
Disseminate & practice organizational practices, values, policies and objectives
Any other duties assigned by respective supervisor.
Salary: Around Tk. 42,400/- per months gross.
