∎ At least 3-year of relevant experience in providing a whole range of financial services to a humanitarian organization, preferably in the INGOs or working with foreign donors
∎ Experience with accounting software (e.g. FundsPro) and proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including functions like VLOOKUP, pivot tables).
∎ Experience in working with regulatory agencies of Bangladesh such as NGOAB and NBR
∎ Proven knowledge of computerized systems and demonstrable experience of working with computerized accounting packages (FundsPro) and spreadsheets
∎ Proven capacity in periodical financial reporting, audit preparations, review audit reports and management observations, budgeting, and organizational skills are required.
∎ Ability to work under time pressure, high workload and highly adaptive to change context
∎ Experiences of GFFO, BMZ, UN, ECHO, EU, USAID, FCDO fund accounting would be an asset.
∎ Excellent spoken and written language skills both in English and Bangla.

∎ As Finance and Administration Assistant, you will play a crucial role within the Finance team, ensuring efficient management of accounts and financial transactions. The position supports the HOF by maintaining accurate transactions, records and facilitating communication between suppliers, partners, and the team. By enhancing operational efficiency and ensuring supplier and partner satisfaction, the Finance Assistant streamlines processes, reduces errors, and improves overall productivity. This support contributes to our growth and maintains high-quality service delivery.
∎ Day-to-day management of a defined accounting area this involves being accountable for maintaining accurate financial records within a specific accounting domain
∎ The Finance Assistant contributes to management and operational services that support other staff members in performing effectively. These activities enhance overall efficiency.
∎ Facilitation of day-to-day financial transaction processing related to cash and banking including managing financial transactions, particularly those involving cash and bank, is a critical aspect of the role.
∎ Periodical financial reporting for the country office, expenditure tracking and fund request for country office
∎ Finance and Administration Assistant is responsible for ensuring the efficient payment of cash and bank with ensuring all the finance and administrative procedures, policies and organizational standards.
∎ Ensure the cash and bank management by being responsible for the cash boxes, guarantee that the money is disbursed and / or the advances given according to the rules and from the right cash boxes and allocated on the relevant projects.
∎ Regular cash and bank reconciliation (ensuring physical cash balance are matching with cash book records and bank transactions)
∎ Check the vouchers and the relevant supportive documents (quality, authenticity, reliability, accuracy and fairness)
∎ S/he is responsible for timely completion of all accounting and administration of WHH Bangladesh country office in align with the compliance of organization, donor policies & procedures.
∎ Scan all vouchers and the documents according to the organization policy and finance KPIs
∎ Maintain and review bill/vouchers and prepare debit/credit/journal vouchers and maintained appropriate filling
∎ Sound knowledge of Tax/VAT Calculation, Monthly Reporting to NBR, Accounting Practices, Custom rules of the country and regulatory compliance.
∎ Maintain fixed assets and inventory management as per WHH and Donor regulations
∎ Any other country office related activities that might be assigned by the management as needed.
