Job Context:
∎ Community Development Centre (CODEC) is working in the coastal area of Bangladesh since 1985. Its core activities are the socio-economic development of coastal people which is operated through seven thematic areas as Agriculture, Fishery, Dairy and Horticulture; Education, Skills and Youth Development; Conflict Resolution; Climate Change and Disaster; Health and Nutrition; Social Entrepreneurship; Microfinance and Rohingya Education, Protection and Repatriation.
∎ Community Development Centre (CODEC) invites application from potential Bangladeshi nationals for implementing CODEC Nature conservation through livelihoods improvements Project funded by a Local Fund from USAID, located at Teknaf, Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh.
∎ CODEC has planned to implement the Nature conservation through livelihoods improvements (Nature and Life) – Teknaf, Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh under USAID Local Works Bangladesh Activities in the landscape area of Teknaf Wildlife Sanctuary area to restore a heavily degraded forest ecosystem through further strengthen Nishorgo Network – a co-management platform with a vision to conserve forest protected areas and community well-being.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ The Finance and Admin- Officer will work under the guidance of Finance and Admin- Manager as well as DPD. He/she also will be responsible to keep site level all records related to CODEC assignment and prepare financial reports as per USAID & CODEC Management requirements. Apart from Financial management, he/she will serve the office management and administrative duties as given to him. He/she will support the project activities as well as project staffs on financial and admin aspects and will work under the supervision of F&A Manager as well as DPD. He/she will supervise the three Admin and Accounts Assistants at Teknaf, Whykeong and Shilkhali sites.They will ensure project site office financial management and quality recording with reporting. The details of the Job responsibility are given below;
∎ Preparation of payment vouchers with necessary supporting ensuring deduction of Taxes & VAT as per Govt and USAID rules and taking approval from competent authority before recording;
∎ Keeping invoices, staff advances other documents and records properly & safely;
∎ Data entry in accounting system; Prepare staff payroll and others.
∎ Maintenance of fixed assets memorandum and preparation of monthly statement as per policy.
∎ Preparation of journal voucher with necessary supporting.
∎ Taking of GL details from computer and preparation of different Reports, working advance etc.
∎ Any other functions as may be assigned to him/her by the Finance Focal Person /PD/DPD or his/her designated Authority.
∎ Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual project Financial Reports as per requirement.
∎ Checking journal vouchers form different site offices and booked it in appropriate head of accounts.
∎ Responsible for all accounts related book-keepings (Cash Book, Ledger, Cheque Register, Leave Register, Advance Register etc.).
∎ Responsible for banking and office cash control.
∎ Keep invoice and all other related documents, so that internal & external Audit could be performed without any objections.
∎ Visit respective camp offices for overseeing the bills, documents and booking of expenses in correct & appropriate manner.
∎ Working station will be Teknaf.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 25 to 40 years
∎ Only females are allowed to apply
∎ Good computerized budget preparation, budget monitoring, skills
∎ Financial controlling and financial reporting skills
∎ Planning and financial management skills
∎ Field level monitoring skill.
∎ Good Computer operation in MS Word, Excel, Internet and email communication
∎ Excellent communications skills.

Salary:
∎ Tk. 60000 (Monthly)
∎ Bonus, Gratuity and Insurance facility as per Project approved budget.
