Other products provided by our organization are micro insurance for life, health related programs, income-generating activities, disaster management support, technology transfer, value chains development, solar home system for power, solar mini-grid, etc.
∎ Brief on the Project
∎ PKSF has started implementing an innovative project titled "Rural Microenterprise Transformation Project (RMTP)" financed by the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD). Under this RMTP project IDF jointly with PKSF is implementing a value chain sub-project in the area of High Value Fruits & Crops Expansion and Marketing for three years. The implementation areas of the project include Matiranga, Khagrachari; Kaptai, Rangamati; and Bandarban Shadar district. The project will work to increase the income, ensure food security and improve family nutrition for marginal and small farmers /entrepreneurs and sub-sector related backward and forward market entrepreneurs. The sub-project will work on value addition at various stages of development of high value fruits/crops and agricultural products, vis-à-vis expansion of financial services for development of enterprises and strengthening of institutional structure. Efficient farming technology and strong market network will help the existing enterprises expand to the next step of economic development. It is hoped that effective Implementation of the sub-project will increase the income by 30 percent of 70 percent entrepreneurs/project beneficiaries. Further 30 percent project beneficiaries will be able to add nutritious food to their regular food list.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ The duties and responsibilities of the Finance, Admin and Procurement Officer are as follows:
∎ Maintaining all accounts of the project in accordance with project/PKSF/ organization's accounting policies. Complying with the procurement policy of the project/PKSF/organization or as per the government procurement policy and ensuring regular internal audit of the project.
∎ Using computer-based software to keep track of project financing and expenditure, and submitting project financial reports on monthly basis. If the physical and financial targets of the project are not consistent every month, informing the concerned senior officer accordingly.
∎ Providing orientation to the mainstream accounts officers of the organization on computer-based software for record keeping of project financing and expenses, if required.
∎ Proper management and maintenance of all bills, vouchers, cashbooks, ledgers, checkbooks, etc. related to project accounting.
∎ Inspecting the project area at least 8 days in a month and providing necessary instructions and assistance to the concerned officials for proper management and record keeping of bills, vouchers, cashbooks, ledgers, check books etc.
∎ Participating from time to time in supervising and monitoring the project activities at the field level and providing necessary guidance and assistance to the concerned officials regarding the overall status and progress of the work in the area.
∎ As per rules, preparing monthly financial reports of the project and sending to PKSF through proper channel.
∎ Creating profiles of the project participants, making regular updates and data entry, performing other project related activities.
∎ Arranging regular meetings with sub-project staff regarding log-frame, and budget review and monitoring of work plan formulation and implementation.
∎ To be diligent in fulfilling the other responsibilities assigned by the sub-project supervisor.
∎ In addition, the incumbent will have to perform any other activities related to the project provided by the management.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 40 years
∎ Should have at least 4 years of work experience in accounting, finance, MIS, procurement, and office management.
∎ Professional and clear written and oral communication skills both in English & Bangla.
∎ Good command on MS-Office (MS word, Excel, Power Point etc.)
∎ Excellent networking, communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
∎ Strong Analytical and Report-writing skills.
∎ Ability to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds
∎ Willingness to travel to, and work in, remote areas for extended period of time
