Additional Requirements:
  • Age 25 to 45 years
  • Minimum 2–3 years of work experience in procurement, supply chain, or logistics, preferably in NGO/MFI or development sectors.   

  • Experience with donor-funded procurement processes is preferred.   

  • Familiarity with procurement software and MS Office applications.



Responsibilities & Context:

The duties and responsibilities of the Procurement Officer are as follows:

  • Prepare annual and monthly procurement plans based on program requirements.
  • Collect purchase requisitions and verify specifications, quantities, and necessary approvals.
  • Conduct market analysis and obtain quotations following IDF procurement guidelines.
  • Ensure transparent procurement through proper tendering, bidding, and vendor selection processes.
  • Maintain an updated and approved vendor/supplier database.
  • Negotiate prices, quality, and delivery timelines with suppliers to ensure best value for money.
  • Prepare Purchase Orders (POs), contracts, and related procurement documents.
  • Track and monitor delivery of goods and services to ensure timely completion of procurement.
  • Maintain procurement records, tender documents, bid evaluations, and approvals for audit purposes.
  • Coordinate with the Program and Finance teams for smooth payment processing and budget compliance.
  • Ensure strict compliance with IDF policies, donor procurement rules, and standard operating procedures.
  • Support inventory management and verification of delivered items.
  • Communicate with suppliers regarding delivery schedules, delays, or quality issues.
  • Provide regular updates on procurement status during program meetings.
  • Support field teams with procurement needs and logistics when necessary.
