Background:
CCA has been running a long-term biodiversity conservation program in the Chittagong Hill Tracts, particularly in the Sangu-Matamuhuri Reserve Forest in Bandarban District. The project encompasses multiple components focusing on the conservation of threatened wildlife species, including wildlife surveys and monitoring through camera trapping, a tortoise reintroduction program, and monitoring tortoises via radio telemetry.
The program directly engages local communities in biodiversity conservation through multiple approaches, including training indigenous villagers, deploying local conservation guardians, and building the capacity of communities for better forest resource management. It also provides livelihood support through services such as livestock veterinary care, periodic health camps, and agroforestry training.
We are seeking a passionate veterinarian to join our Chittagong Hill Tracts Program team. The position requires the veterinarian to visit remote ethnic villages within Bandarban District and adjacent areas of Chittagong Hill Tracts to provide vaccination and veterinary services for the livestock. The ideal candidate should be able to walk and hike for long hours to reach remote villages and adapt to rugged conditions.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks:
Regularly visit remote villages to provide livestock services to ethnic communities
Administer vaccinations to livestock
Conduct disease assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for sick animals
Work closely with a culturally diverse team
Maintain detailed records and submit regular reports to the supervisor
Occasionally treat rescued wild animals
Assist in organizing livestock vaccination campaigns and other events
Prepare and submit periodic work reports.
Attend regular meetings/trainings/workshops as and when required by the management.
Responsible for ensuring that the project meets the required quality standards set by the organization.
Must be stationed in Alikadam Upazila, and occasional travel to other locations.
Any other task assigned by the organization.
