Responsibilities & Context:

Job Context:

Dhaka Ahsania Mission (DAM) is a non-government development organization founded in 1958 by Khan Bahadur Ahsanullah, an eminent educationist, reformer, and Sufi with the aim of social and spiritual development of entire human community. DAM has been contributing for the betterment of the disadvantaged population through operating 35 institutions and also 8 sectors of development. Health Sector is one of the core sectors of DAM which has also been operating 8 institutions and 15 projects.

DAM Health Sector is going to recruit a competent and self-motivated individual for the position of Field Supervisor of “Continuation and Scale up of HIV Prevention and Treatment Services among Key Population in Bangladesh" (PUD), GC-7 Project funded bu Global Fund and Principle Recipient Save the Children.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensure HIV prevention services for PUD by listing and registering them as per project guidelines.

  • Update the drug user list through spot mapping, contact mapping, and social mapping; identify new spots and include new users.

  • Supervise and monitor field-level activities of Peer Outreach Workers.

  • Ensure proper outreach timing according to drug use patterns.

  • Ensure distribution of needles, syringes, and condoms; and collection of used needles and syringes.

  • Monitor behavior change communication (BCC) activities and provide necessary on-the-job training.

  • Maintain coordination with community stakeholders and resolve field-level challenges.

  • Regularly review daily distribution forms, service forms, and tracking sheets.

  • Ensure outreach services through regular monitoring and supervision.

  • Refer clients to clinical services (HIV, TB screening, STI, abscess management, OST, ART, and general health services) and ensure proper documentation.

  • Ensure referral support for services not available at service centers with necessary coordination.

  • Perform any other duties assigned by the office.

  • Assist Outlet Manager in preparing monthly and quarterly reports and updating MIS.

  • Support Outlet Manager in organizing events, advocacy, and day observances.

  • Provide regular training to outreach workers through weekly meetings.

  • Conduct field visits or clinic support activities as required.
