Educational Requirements:
∎ Master's in Anthropology/Social science/ Development Studies/ any relevant subject
∎ Candidates having working experience in qualitative data collection will be given preference

Job Context:
∎ PRF is seeking qualified and motivated Bangladeshi nationals for the position of Field Research Officer (Qualitative).
∎ Duty station: Manikganj District, Dhaka
∎ Job Nature: Fixed term
∎ The appointment will be made on a fixed term basis for 1 year but may be extended for a further period depending on satisfactory performance and availability of funds.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Have understanding on qualitative data collection tools and techniques
∎ Create a detailed data collection plan and coordinate district implementation team and the central team
∎ Collect data by using qualitative data collection tools and techniques (IDI, FGD etc.)
∎ Assist coding and data analysis to produce scientific articles, reports, and other materials
∎ Coordinate with hospital staff (public and private) and uphold values of the organization
∎ Ensure proper and optimum use of project logistics, including data forms, tab, laptop/desktop computer, etc.
∎ Participate in meetings, trainings, seminars and workshops as required by the program and organization
∎ Maintain monthly field expenses and supporting documents
∎ Carry out any other tasks assigned by the Supervisor

Additional Requirements:
∎ Computer skills in MS word, excel, and data handling.
∎ Familiarity with qualitative data analysis software will be an added advantage.
∎ Able to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with the stakeholders.
∎ Should be able to communicate effectively both in Bangla and English.
∎ Able to summarize the results or observation.
∎ Should be willing to work at night, including weekends and holidays (if needed)
∎ Willing to perform home visits for data collection
∎ Knowledge of ethical guidelines
∎ Should be able to work with a team

Salary:
∎ 42,682/- per month including house rent and conveyance allowance and other admissible benefit

Compensation & Other Benefits:
∎ 12% retirement fund contribution by PRF will be given as per organizational policy.
