Educational Requirements:
∎ Diploma in agriculture or other related discipline and more than five years of work experience;

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Prepare plans and implement the project activities in close coordination with the field level government extensions officers, local government representatives, host communities and targeted refugees at sub-district level;
∎ Selection of small holder farmers as per the set criteria and conduct surveys in targeted communities to ensure adequate community consultation to select the target beneficiaries, farmers groups in coordination with local government setup;
∎ Oversee and coordinate all assessment activities in designated sub-district, ensuring communication and finalization of activities;
∎ Organize and implement distributions of inputs where applicable to beneficiaries along with government and service providers;
∎ Submit bi-weekly work plans and support request to Operations and Programme management staff for approval;
∎ Provide feedback to programme management as to bottlenecks in the field in coordination, quality of inputs, beneficiary satisfaction, program performance;
∎ Organize and mobilize farmers for trainings, service providers training and other stakeholders as appropriate;
∎ Provide technical backstopping to the targets farmers and targeted refuges involved in micro gardening.
∎ Plan and monitor the timeline of activities and inform management and stakeholders accordingly;
∎ Liaise regularly with government line agencies to set-up activities and facilitate timely coordination for appropriate delivery;
∎ Actively participate in coordination meetings and update sectors, stakeholders on ongoing work at sub-district level;
∎ Provide technical support to establish year-round vegetables and fruits production at community level;
∎ Provide technical support to implement nutritional activities at community level;
∎ Identifying the training needs, the type and mode of training. It's scope and potentials for the community;
∎ Any other works assigned by the management;

Additional Requirements:
∎ Proven skills in programme monitoring and coordination, ideally with experience in responding to humanitarian emergencies;
∎ Familiar with grass root level local government structures and experience with implementing the Farmers Field School approach with the Ministry of Agriculture (MoA);
∎ Professional experience in agricultural extension, environment, forestry and/or livelihoods and is preferred;
∎ Demonstrated innovative thinking and practical execution;
∎ Ability to solve problems, use initiative, and manage work under limited supervision;
∎ Good motivational skill;
∎ Interest to work at the community level and willingness to travel at village/union level;
∎ Honest, physically fit and can provide hard work;
∎ Applicant have a working knowledge of English (written and verbal);
∎ Good speaking and understanding ability in any of Marma, Bawm, Tripura, Chakma and other local languages.
