∎ The Field Facilitator is mainly responsible for facilitating community mobilization activities involving community gate keepers, local government, GoB/NGO front line who workers at the household and community level. S/he will conduct community diagnosis and resource mapping and ensure participation of all relevant community stakeholders in the planning and implementation of proposed CHW initiatives and activities. S/he will assist Project Officer for effective project implementation through establishing/strengthening Community Support System (CmSS), identify & select appropriate candidates for Private Community Based Skilled Birth Attendant (Private-CSBA) from the community according to selection criteria.
∎ S/he will also assist Private-CSBAs for providing quality maternal and neonatal and child health (MNCH) services through home visit. S/he will engage community and facilitate a participatory process for strengthening existing or establishing new Community Support Systems (CmSS) at village level to support Private-CSBA activities and also mobilize local resources and transportation for referral of women with obstetric complications to referral health facilities. S/he will also encourage Village committees, mother and child health group and other community groups in the community mobilization process for promoting positive health behaviors for maternal and child health. S/he will actively engage to promote effective market plan for the Private-CSBAs, negotiate fees for them with the local government and CmSS considering the safety net for the poor to ensure sustainability. With the support from Project Officer and Technical Officer-Midwife, s/he will assist Private -CSBA to establish Community Surveillance System in 3 wards of each union and ensure use of data for decision making. S/he will assist Project Officer to prepare project progress report and case studies in regular interval and as per requirement of project.S/He will maintain liaison with union level GoB / NGO counterparts and other relevant stakeholder's service providers with community group for taking service of community level people.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Strong skill in documentation of project implementation process, outcomes, lessons learned and outstanding positive and negative project events.
∎ Strong facilitation skills and knowledge and experience in participatory monitoring.
∎ Good knowledge on rights-based approach and underlying issues of health
∎ Strong team building capacity and hardworking.
∎ Ability to involve and utilize local GO, NGO and private counterparts and resources in implementing project activities.
∎ Strong skills in setting priorities: Is able to focus on important tasks, manage time effectively, meet deadlines and problem solving and decision making skills.
∎ Ability to innovate ideas, analyze issues critically, and understand local context, culture, norms and power structure
∎ Strong interpersonal communication and leadership skill
∎ Hard working, flexible, and willingness and ability to drive motorbike.
∎ Ensure and Promote GEDI and be GEDI sensitive, creating an enabling environment where diversity can flourish and all staff and stakeholders experience inclusion and appreciation.
