Educational Requirements:
∎ Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture / Agriculture Economics / Food and Nutrition Science / Economics / Environmental Science / Statistics / Social Science or relevant field from any reputed University. Subject preference can be relaxed for candidates who can demonstrate knowledge and capability.

Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 1 year(s)
∎ Freshers are also encouraged to apply.

Job Context:
∎ Transforming Agri-Food Systems in South Asia (TAFSSA) Project.
∎ The duration of the contract will be for maximum 60 working days.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Attend trainings on methodology, approach, data collection tools, and ensure adherence to data collection protocols as described by the NGO Forum officials.
∎ Carry out data collection through field visits with respondents through market surveys, focus group discussions (FGDs), market observation, and key informant interviews as required.
∎ Real time data entry through mobile phones in ODK platform using Android based data collection software (eg. CSPro, Kobo Collect, SurveyCTO).
∎ Organize the Focus Group Discussion (FGD) and Key Informant Interviews (KII).
∎ Take notes and record the responses from the FGD and KII.
∎ Transcribe the records (verbatim/ each respondent separately identified) in Bangla, then translate to English.
∎ Complete daily reports of progress or activities completed, including communicating challenges faced in data collection and status of data collection.
∎ Perform any other task given by supervisor related to field-based data collection, data entry or data cleaning.
∎ Adhere to all NGO Forum policies and guidelines.
∎ Bear field expenditure during survey (will be paid after survey at once with per diem through account pay cheque or electronic fund transfer).

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 35 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Relevant experience of conducting different types of Surveys, FGD, KII and transcription in Bangla with English translation.
∎ Academic and/or work experience related to the field of agriculture economics and social research.
∎ Sound knowledge on research methodology and use of ODK software packages and smart phone-based data collection tools.
∎ Experience in conducting different types of market survey, FGD, etc.
∎ Ability to work closely with team members as well as independently.
∎ Problem solving ability raised in the field time to time.
∎ Willing to work in any location and remote areas as required.
∎ Cultural sensitivity and ability to work in a cross-cultural environment.

Salary:
∎ BDT 2500/- Per Day
