Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelors/Masters Degree in design and development from a reputable fashion institute.
∎ Minimum 5-6 years of related experience with a very renowned Organization developing for kids segment and should have experience Handling Design Team.

∎ 5 to 9 year(s)
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following area(s): Fashion Designing, Kids wear design
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Garments

Job Context:
∎ The person will be required to carry out the Fashion Designing and Product Development functions (Kids Ethnic Wear) of Yellow by Beximco, the premier fashion brand of Bangladesh. As a fashion brand, we use compelling fashion and trend based content and solutions to create emotional experiences to engage people in our brand story and get them to participate in it. The incumbent should have the hands-on experience in the following functions:

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Handling the design and product development jobs for world-class fashion products
∎ Ensure the timely and successful design and development of products in line with the customers’ requirement
∎ Plan and carry out design and development functions in a way that ensures solid profitability and helps increase Company’s market share as well as value.
∎ Researching latest fashion directions & trends in the market and competitor activities
∎ Coordinate with key personnel involved in production of fabric, drawing and cutting patterns and constructing samples for finished garments
∎ Assembling seasonal forecasts and creating designs to feed the demand
∎ Identify target markets for designs, looking at factors such as age, gender and socioeconomic status
∎ Research the styles and periods of clothing needed for seasonal collection and ensure that adequate seasonal collections are made strictly in accordance with trend studies and customers’ feed back
∎ Review fashion magazines and manuals in order to gather information about fashion trends and consumer preferences.
∎ Sketch rough and detailed drawings of apparel or accessories, and write specifications such as color schemes, construction, material types, and accessory requirements.
∎ Supervising the making up of sample garments and overseeing production.
∎ Planning and developing ranges and adapting existing designs for mass production.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 30 years
∎ Only males are allowed to apply
∎ Should have worked in design and product development in retail house/export house
∎ Should have good understanding about fabrics and types
∎ Should be able to work under pressure.
∎ A very good knowledge of fashion design/ development functions related to fashion industries is a must
∎ Must be familiar with the current happenings in the Fashion Industries around the continent
∎ Solid sense of creating designs ensuring they reflect targeted market profiles
∎ Ability to understand the concepts and trends of fashion industries
∎ Proficiency in English language, both written and spoken, is essential
