Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor's degree or equivalent in fashion design from any reputed university/design college.
∎ Any additional course/diploma on similar profession will get preference.
Experience Requirements:
∎ 2 to 5 year(s)
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following area(s):
CAD, Fashion Designing
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
Buying House, Garments
Job Responsibilities:
∎ To create design by using CAD (Computer Aided Design).
∎ To ensure clear and effective and understanding between buying house and production team.
∎ To understand forecasting trends by researching on the internet, monitoring market developments and competitors.
∎ To ensure proper execution of developments keeping the time frame in mind due to our quick fashion season.
∎ To create own sketches for product development and design process.
∎ To design and develop ideas which are new as well as production feasible.
∎ To create and monitor the design development critical path for collection if/when required with guidance and knowledge from other team members.
∎ To identify key trends, colors, fabrics and select prints etc.
∎ To follow up the sampling from the start to the final stage.
∎ To work closely with the sourcing team to research new materials.
∎ To ensure the collaboration work with the merchandising/washing team.
∎ To go to the concerned factory to get the work if required.
∎ To create seasonal collection and total look of traditional, ethnic and western designs.
∎ To create and monitor the design development for collection if/when required with guidance.
∎ Any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the supervisor.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 25 to 35 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Must have the basic sense of design aesthetics and ability to interpret.
∎ Must have good communication skill both spoken and written English.
∎ Must have good knowledge of computer design applications including Adobe Suite.
∎ The job profile requires traveling to factories/suppliers in and around Dhaka on a frequent basis.
∎ Check samples when needed to ensure the customer's direction and concept.
