Job Context:
∎ To support the UK team for Bangladesh new fabrics development
∎ To support the our BD approved factories with troubleshooting for any bulk fabric technical issues - for imported and local fabric
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Fabric development - working closely with the UK design team to source fabrics from Bangladesh mills that customers are looking to work with .
∎ Fabric development - establishing & building up a library of the Bangladesh mills capabilities , and establishing a good contacts network with the local mills
∎ Fabric standards - ensuring that the Bangladesh fabric mills understand & can comply with the customers standards for fabric production, including chemicals compliance - ie REACH & ZHDC
∎ Fabric quality monitoring - oversee fabric inspection for bulk fabric at local mills / implement and or amend fabric inspection procedure as required at mills , review shade bands/colour with the BD merch team.
∎ Fabric testing - establishing and maintaining good relationships with the Dhaka testing labs, ie Intertek , SGS and BV
∎ Troubleshooting any fabric technical related issues for bulk fabric - imported and local fabric - in a supportive role to the factories
∎ Fab Tech administration - fulfilling the customers system requirements for new and bulk fabrics, eg Sainsburys and Tesco
Additional Requirements:
∎ Good knowledge of REACH and ZHDC
∎ Excellent English written and spoken
∎ Very good IT skills
Salary: Negotiable
