Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor in Engineering (BEngg) in Textile Technology
∎ B.Sc/ M.Sc in Textiles/ Yarn Manufacturing Technology or Fabric Manufacturing Technology/Graduated from BUTEX.

Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 7 year(s)
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following area(s): Textile Engineering
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Garments, Textile

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Liaising with textile team to plan and develop fabric designs.
∎ Liaising with customers, design and marketing team to keep up with the upcoming trend fabric and colours.
∎ Accurately interpreting and representing customers' ideas and fabric swatches.
∎ Producing sketches, designs and samples for presentation to customers.
∎ Designing/Sourcing new fabrics which can implement in production.
∎ Communicating with the yarn suppliers and keep up to date with the newness of fabric sourcing.
∎ Experimenting with colour, fabric and texture.
∎ Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of new design and production techniques and textile technology.
∎ Ensuring fabrics are completed on time.
∎ Visiting sites and other sources of ideas for designs.
∎ Any other responsibility assigned by the management.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 30 years
∎ Only males are allowed to apply
∎ Candidates should have strong knowledge about knitting
∎ Should have strong portfolio
∎ Creativity and fabric knowledge
∎ A good eye for colour, texture, fabrics and patterns;
∎ Excellent attention to detail;
∎ Keen interest in fashion and textiles, and an understanding of trends and materials;
∎ Understanding and experience of using different textile processes and techniques;
∎ Good communication and team working skills;
∎ Ability to work to deadlines and a budget;
∎ Fluency in speaking and writing in English.
