Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Fashion Design Technology
∎ B.S.c/M.Sc. in Textile Engineering major in Fabric Manufacturing Technology or similar degree from renowned university.
Experience Requirements:
∎ 10 to 14 year(s)
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following area(s):
Fabric Manufacturing
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
Garments, Textile
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Providing Technical advise to Design/Merchandising
∎ Creating products based on design trends and input from designers
∎ Producing samples
∎ Evaluating, identifying and selecting fabrics/products from suppliers
∎ Ensuring that products meet set requirements and specifications (eg colour fastness, durability etc)
∎ Any other related jobs as and when assigned by management
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 30 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Should be able to work under pressure.
∎ Involve providing fabric technical support to the design and/or production team, carrying out colour testing of fabrics and approving lab dips, sourcing fabrics and trims, Developing new fabrics based on fashion trends and working closely with the fabric mills, undertaking quality evaluations of materials and checking the quality of the final product,
∎ Proficiency in English language, both written and spoken, is essential
∎ Good communication skills.
