Responsibilities & Context:
• Understanding of export procedure and documentation.
• Understanding of LC terms (sight/usance, negotiation, discrepancy).
• Forwarding documents for negotiation under LC.
• Follow-up for proceeds realization and discrepancy handling.
• Knowledge of Back-to-Back LC, Packing Credit, and Bill Discounting.
• Realization of export proceeds in foreign currency.
• Dealing with Bangladesh Bank reporting, Form EXP closing, and repatriation deadlines.
• Knowledge of cash incentives, EDF loans, and bonded warehouse Utilization.
• Liaise with production, merchandising, and logistics for on-time shipment.
• Communicate with freight forwarders, C&F agents, and shipping lines.
• Maintain export schedule and booking confirmation.
• Professional email drafting to buyers, banks, and shipping agents.
• Follow-up on pending payments, discrepancies, or shipment issues.
• Ensure accuracy of documents to avoid LC discrepancies.
• Maintain up-to-date export registers and shipment tracking sheets.
• Compliance with customs, EPB, and Bangladesh Bank regulations.
• Working knowledge of:
o Customs ASYCUDA system / ICEGATE (for export declaration)
o ERP or commercial software
o MS Excel & Word (reporting and documentation)
o Bank portals for LC and document submission
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good negotiation and coordination ability.
• Sound understanding of international trade terms (Incoterms 2020).
• Ability to work under pressure with tight shipment deadlines.
• Teamwork and professionalism in communication.
