Key Responsibilities
1. Branch Operations & Strategy:
Manage daily correspondence with branch offices, set revenue strategies, and prepare quarterly, half-yearly, and annual budgets. Monitor business performance across all branches and units to ensure targets are met. Scrutiny of all cover notes and policies used by the head office and branch office.
2. Underwriting & Risk Guidance:
Provide guidance on complex underwriting matters. Support inter-departmental auditing, loss prevention, and coordination of pre-risk inspection reports from surveyors.
3. Premium & Outstanding Dues Management:
Track all insurance premium deposits daily and follow up on un-deposited premiums. Help the recovery cell committee to collect outstanding dues from branches and units, reporting directly to the Head of Branch Control Dept.
4. Business Development:
Develop new business through strategic selling and marketing activities. Periodically review and communicate performance expectations with development officers to drive target achievement.
5. Team Leadership & Coordination:
Oversee day-to-day operations. Liaise with all Departments to reconcile management information systems. Hire, train, and monitor insurance agents and departmental staff.
6. Reporting:
This is a senior leadership position responsible for overseeing branch operations nationwide, driving and ensuring operational excellence. The role reports to the Head of Branch Control Dept. at the Head Office.
