Experience:

Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in MS Office applications and legal documentation.

Position Overview:
The Executive – Tax & Company Affairs (Legal) will support the organisation in managing legal, compliance, and company affairs. This role involves drafting and reviewing legal documents, handling litigation matters, coordinating with regulatory bodies, and ensuring adherence to applicable laws and corporate governance standards. The position also requires active liaison with government authorities, law enforcement agencies, and external legal counsel to safeguard the company’s legal interests and minimize risks.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain effective communication with assigned law firms, stakeholders, and law enforcement agencies.
Liaise with various Government and Non-Government organisations on legal and compliance matters.
Draft, review, and vet contracts, agreements, MOUs, legal notices, replies, and other legal and regulatory documents.
Provide legal opinions and guidance to internal stakeholders as required.
Scrutinise legal documents to ensure alignment with approved formats and legal standards.
Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
Visit relevant government offices to complete legal and regulatory formalities.
Manage and protect the company’s intellectual property rights.
Coordinate with external legal counsel on advisory and litigation matters.
Handle litigation (excluding regulatory matters), including vetting pleadings and tracking case progress.
Identify, assess, and mitigate legal risks arising from business operations and strategies.
Arrange for the withdrawal of cases/suits upon receiving management approval.
Maintain familiarity with court procedures, including Subordinate Courts, Metropolitan Magistrate Courts, District & Sessions Courts, High Court Division, and Appellate Division of the Supreme Court.
Liaise with local police and law enforcement authorities regarding General Diaries (GD) and related matters.
