We are seeking an ambitious individual to join this team for Executive (SCM-Local), Bashundhara Chemical Industries Limited, BIEZL, Mirsharai, Chattogram.

Job Responsibilities:-

• Perform all local procurement processes for Chemical industries i.e., strategic sourcing, contract negotiations, supplier selection, supplier segmentation in compliance with procurement policy & sole responsibility for Procuring Mechanical / electrical items, Spare parts and all heavy industry project-based items, etc.

• The incumbent must arrange, proactively procure and manage all facets of purchasing and delivery operations for commodity items, ensuring efficiency and cost-effectiveness

• Ensure cost control and adequate analysis of standard cost, cost saving, inflation, material spending, etc.

• Proactively coordinates and manages the commodity pipelines to ensure that there are no interruptions in stocks

• Collaborate with all cross-functional departments (accounts, production and other departments) to ensure smooth operations

• Collect quotations from the supplier & CS preparation as well as collect approval

• Handle MRR and prepare bills, as well as submit them to the accounts department for vendor payment

• Check inventory on software & physical inventory, supplier capability of goods with the audit team

• Visit local market & vendor’s factory to observe the product quality, availability and production process of electrical/mechanical spare items

• Facilitate selection of appropriate vendors for vendor enlistment, approval by management and update from time to time

• Establish, negotiate and develop contract terms and conditions maintaining relationships with suppliers for implementing contract

• Maintain procurement records, including electronic records and other systems ensuring accuracy, availability and retrieval

• Any other tasks assigned by the management for the sake of the company.
