Education:
    • Master of Science (MSc) in Applied Chemistry, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Food Engineering, Food Science or any other relevant subject with excellent track record.

Responsibilities & Context:

Quality Assurance & Control:

  • Develop, implement, and enforce quality control systems and procedures in the factory to ensure all products meet specified quality standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections of raw materials, in-process goods, and finished products.
  • Ensure adherence to food safety regulations, including HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point), GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), and other applicable standards (ISO, BRC, etc.).
  • Supervise and perform laboratory testing for product analysis (e.g., microbiological, chemical, and physical tests).
  • Monitor and track quality data, and report findings to senior management, taking corrective actions as necessary.

Documentation and Compliance:

  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, and audits.
  • Ensure proper labeling, packaging, and documentation meet legal and quality requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety audits, certifications, and regulatory guidelines, preparing for external audits when required.
  • Handle and resolve quality-related complaints from customers or regulatory bodies.

Staff Training & Development:

  • Provide training to production staff on quality standards, food safety protocols, GMP and proper handling of raw materials and finished products.

Inspection and Monitoring:

  • Supervise the inspection of incoming raw materials to ensure they meet company standards.
  • Monitor the production process to ensure food safety standards are being maintained and products are produced within specified parameters.

Quality Reporting:

  • Compile and analyze data related to product quality and production processes.
  • Prepare regular reports on quality metrics, trends, and performance to senior management.
  • Recommend corrective actions or changes to processes based on analysis and trends.

Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving:

  • Investigate and resolve quality issues or product defects, implementing corrective and preventive actions as needed.
  • Troubleshoot equipment or process issues may impact product quality.
