Educational Requirements:
∎ Diploma in Engineering in Textile Technology
Experience Requirements:
∎ 2 to 3 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Liaise with relevant personnel, make decisions
∎ on product quality issues & non-conformity
∎ and implement systems to prevent recurrence of such issues whilst taking customer standards/ requirements, plant capability/ standards & commercial acceptability into account.
∎ Ensure all moulding equipment are calibrated/ serviced as per schedule, all machine settings/ other related parameters are set to the required standards & facilitate the continuous accurate operation of the equipment
∎ Monitor all in-process parameters, attend all moulding/ production related meetings/ discussions and take appropriate follow up action, as and when required
∎ Attend New Product Development (NPD) fabric meetings, technical package meetings etc, to understand new styles, fabric &technical specifications and initiate the preparation of moulding specifications bearing in mind moulding parameters to cover a range of sizes
∎ Assist in the analysis of new fabric specifications in order to ensure the materials used meet the correct moulding criteria whilst confirming the moulding specifications
∎ (including revisions if any) can be reproduced consistently in a bulk production environment
∎ Work in collaboration with internal technical team, designers, moudling technicians &
∎ garment technologists to ensure the quality of moulding is as per set requirements to suit fabric performance criteria/ style/ garment specification and fabric moulds produced accurately fit the plastic hats through developing the optimum moulding conditions & solve critical issues encountered during the moulding process
∎ Ensure timely reporting to management via: Daily and or monthly production report, Daily defects report, Downtime report attributable to moulding
∎ Assess annual resource requirements of the section, prepare departmental budget, monitor and control expenses
∎ Perform additional duties that commensurate with the current role, as and when requested by the management
