Responsibilities & Context:

·         To exercise general control over all activities in Stores Department

·         To maintain proper records, receive stores, tags and track surplus property; prepare property lists for items to be sold at auction.

·         To initiate purchase requisitions for the renouncement of stock of all regular stores items whenever the stock level of any item of store will approach minimum limit fixed.

·         To initiate action for stoppage of further purchasing when the stock level approaches the maximum limit.

·         To reserve a particular material for a specific job when so required.

·         To issue materials only in required quantities against Authorized requisition notes.

·         To check the book balance, with the actual physical stock at frequent intervals by way of internal control over wrong issues, pilferage, etc.

·         Prepare inventory plan based on the use forecast and raise materials requisition accordingly.

·         Prepare monthly stock report regularly.
