Educational Requirements:
∎ Honors/ Masters in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering from any reputed University.
Experience Requirements:
∎ 1 to 2 year(s)
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following area(s):
Garments, Garments Accessories, Chemical Industries
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Follow the RSL & MRSL and maintain strictly. Ensure original MSDS, TDS, Guaranty letter and other certificates from suppliers. Follow APEO/AP/AZO/FORMALDEHYDE Guidelines.
∎ Ensure proper chemical storage, labeling, secondary containment and safe uses of chemical.
∎ Maintain chemical inventory sheets and update on regular basis.
∎ Coordinate with supply chain department and chemical suppliers to ensure Chemical Restriction List (RSL)
∎ Ensure safety of all chemical process and products in the company and also keep the premises free from all chemical hazards.
∎ Coordinate with 3rd party to ensure all sorts of Environmental Tests and DOE are done.
∎ Analyze chemical datasheet, find out the root cause of non-conformity (if any) and proactively solve the non-conformity by coordinating with relevant.
∎ Conduct Chemical and Environment Risk Assessment.
∎ Regular monitoring of chemical consumption. Setting goal to avoid uses of hazardous chemical & implement strategies to reach goal as per 3R policy.
∎ Ensure the guideline of ZDHC about Energy Use i.e. GHG, Water, Waste Water, Waste Management, Chemical Management and Sludge Management.
∎ Follow up and maintain the Higg index activities and documentation.
∎ Ensure to follow up ZDHC audit, Higg assessment, Analyze the report, prepare the CAP, and solve the non-conformity.
∎ Monitor the Effluent treatment plant.
∎ Monitor and evaluate the environmental parameters as per DOE Standards & ECR-1997 & achieve BSR standard. Carryout investigations for test failures (if any).
∎ Conduct awareness training programs to relevant employees along with managements staffs on 3R policy, water savings, Energy savings, Waste reduction, Chemical Handling, MSDS, Environmental Management System, etc.
∎ Periodically assess air emission, noise level and others environmental aspects. Maintain Chemical Restriction self-assessment.
∎ Regular monitoring of energy consumption, Water consumption, GHG emissions & Air emissions. Setting strategies to reduce the energy consumption, GHG emissions & Air emissions.
∎ And any other job assigned by the Management from time to time.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 25 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Proficient in MS Office Package
∎ Must be a good team player with positive attitude.
∎ Good verbal and written communication skills in Bangla & English.
∎ Adaptable, pro-active, innovative and must be able to work under pressure independently.
