Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Supervise QC activities by assigning specific responsibilities, tracking their performance, and ensuring adherence to quality standards to maintain the production efficiency of Fresh Ceramics.
∎ Check & re-check the size, thickness, curvature, and color shade of Fresh Ceramics tiles using precision measuring tools to ensure they meet the required specifications and maintain consistency in production.
∎ Observe and analyze tile defects by conducting inspections and identifying root causes to implement corrective actions that improve product quality.
∎ Ensure the correct density, viscosity, residue, and moisture levels of powder and slip through regular testing to maintain optimal raw material composition and prevent production issues.
∎ Control the glaze line process by monitoring parameters such as glaze and engobe density, viscosity, and residue to achieve the desired finish and prevent defects.
∎ Inspect and record key parameters—including pressure, size, thickness, surface quality, planetary alignment, MOR (Modulus of Rupture), water absorption, and temperature—by maintaining detailed logs for process optimization and traceability.
∎ Minimize the production of B-grade, C-grade, and wastage tiles by implementing quality improvement strategies, reducing defects, and enhancing overall efficiency.
∎ Ensure finished goods are packed according to grade, code, and lot specifications by supervising the packing process to maintain product integrity and prevent mix-ups.
∎ Identify and resolve tile errors by conducting real-time checks, analyzing defect trends, and implementing corrective measures to uphold quality standards.
∎ Implement timely corrective actions through structured action plans, prioritizing quality improvements to enhance production standards and reduce defects.
∎ Collect customer feedback, analyze defects, and implement corrective actions to improve customer satisfaction and brand reputation.
∎ Prepare shift-wise quality reports, maintain accurate documentation of test results, defects, and corrective measures taken.

MCIL is engaged with producing tiles for wall & floor areas of private and commercial buildings, government institutions, Mosques and etc. MCIL is pursuing excellent growth through a motivated & performance-driven QC team under the flagship brand named 'Fresh Ceramics'. Currently, MCIL is searching for a highly motivated, experienced, proactive & energetic Engineer/ Assistant Engineer for its QC Department of MCIL Plant in Narayanganj. The Engineer/ Assistant Engineer will work closely with the production and QC teams to identify and resolve quality issues, reduce defects, and support continuous improvement initiatives. The incumbents will report to the department head for their duties and responsibilities.
