Context:
The Lift & Escalator Engineer is responsible for maintaining, installing, and servicing lifts and escalators to ensure their safe and efficient operation. The role includes addressing all technical issues and liaising with the Head Office Engineering Department as required.
Job Responsibilities:
Perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance of lifts and escalators.
Diagnose and troubleshoot issues to ensure minimal downtime.
Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure compliance with safety standards.
Oversee the installation of new lifts and escalators as per manufacturer specifications and company guidelines.
Ensure all installations meet local and international safety standards.
Coordinate with contractors and vendors for timely project completion.
Carry out servicing of lifts and escalators as per equipment requirements and contractual agreements.
Address emergency breakdowns promptly to minimize service disruptions.
Ensure proper functionality and safety after servicing.
Act as the first point of contact for all lift and escalator-related technical issues.
Communicate and coordinate with the Head Office Engineering Department to resolve complex problems.
Provide technical reports and recommendations to management.
