Job Overview

SIMEX Bangladesh is seeking a skilled and motivated Electrical Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have practical experience in street lighting systems and electrical substation projects. The candidate will be responsible for planning, supervising, coordinating, and ensuring the successful execution of electrical infrastructure works while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, supervise, and manage street lighting installation projects.

• Prepare electrical layouts, drawings, and technical documentation.

• Monitor installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems.

• Assist in the planning and execution of substation construction and maintenance works.

• Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and clients to ensure project requirements are met.

• Conduct site inspections and provide technical solutions to project challenges.

• Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety regulations, and project specifications.

• Prepare project reports, progress updates, and technical submissions.

• Support troubleshooting and maintenance activities when required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in electrical & Electronic Engineering (EEE) or a related field.

• Experience in street lighting projects and electrical substations.

• Graduates from reputed public or private engineering universities such as BUET, KUET, RUET, CUET, MIST, North South University (NSU), American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB), and Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology (AUST), or similar recognized institutions will be given preference.

• Fresh graduates or candidates with 1–2 years of relevant construction, engineering, or project coordination experience are encouraged to apply.

• Knowledge of electrical design, installation, testing, and commissioning.

• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical specifications.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications.

• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple project tasks.
