Responsibilities & Context:
Patient Preparation: Explain the EEG procedure to patients (and families) to alleviate anxiety and ensure cooperation.
Technical Execution: Accurately apply electrodes to the scalp using the international 10-20 system and operate digital EEG equipment.
Monitoring: Conduct routine, sleep-deprived, and emergency EEGs, identifying and eliminating artifacts to ensure high-quality data.
Safety & Maintenance: Maintain equipment and follow strict sterilization protocols to ensure a safe clinical environment.
Documentation: Maintain precise patient records and provide preliminary findings to the Neurologist.
