Experience:

• Diploma / bachelor’s degree in design or construction or in engineering or relevant field.

• At least 3 years

• Strong geometric mathematical background and IT abilities (website & social media update).
• Strong & Proficient in relevant software training including AutoCAD & MS Office Suite.
• Excellent presentation, communication skills both written and oral.
• Proficient and literate in a Windows environment (AutoCAD, Excel, Word).
• Knowledge in product design, construction documents & drawing, problem solving skills.
• Prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
• Organizational skills & Detail-oriented.
• A minimum of 3 years as an estimator or similar role. Experience in preparation of fabrication drawing, especially stainless steel, glass, aluminum and steel is preferred. Experience with pricing competitive bid packages with respect to material, labor, fixed overhead, and profit margins is preferred.
• Successful Candidate should be open to following arrangements:
• 6 Month cooling Off Period and 3 years contract bonded with Pacific Metal Balustrade Pty Ltd. And open to loss of job immediately if vested responsibility is not duly performed. Candidate can notify company 6 months prior to finish off contract and be ready to train incoming or new employee.
• Annual salary Package negotiable based on skill as well as experience and is decided after cooling off period. Salary paid monthly to nominated account.
• Year-end Bonus of Tk 10,000.
• 2.5-3.5% annual increment of salary (subject to performance).
• Work from office & home as required. Weekly approximately 70 hours are expected.
• Expectation from Candidate after 6 months.
• Be able to quote 1 project from Bid Contender or Estimator One in every 2 days.
• Be able to draft and produce 5-6 shop drawing from concept or site measurements, each day.
• Be able to prepare & submit 4-6 private client quotation from site measurement and concept drawing, on a daily basis or as it comes and required.
• Be familiar with website & social media, update photos, writing & contents as required.
• Be able to understand, interoperate, apply and be familiar with BCA codes and regulations as per relevant Australian Standard.

Job Description:

Our company is currently in search of a highly-analytical and qualified estimator draftsman to join our growing business. Your central goal will be to prepare accurate drawing and estimate reports for projects by gathering information, analysing important data, and conducting regular check of design drawing & supporting documents.

The ideal candidate will be fluent in drawing, mathematics and accounting, with in-depth knowledge of research and data analysis methods and estimation systems. In addition to being an excellent communicator, candidates should also be detail orientated with outstanding organizational skills.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze blueprints and other documentation (Architectural and Interior Design construction documents/drawings, along with Specifications in “Scope of Works & Finishing Schedule”) to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
• Collect different quotes from vendors, and suppliers. Review and assess cost estimates & prepare detailed cost estimate reports when required. Thus submission of quotation along with related drawing and reference letter. Time to time follow up with client and sales team about the status of submitted quote.
• Using contract documents (blueprints) & site measurements to create proper installation/shop/fabrication drawings for the installation of balustrade, gate, privacy screen, handrail, and all metal work related to our business in new construction/renovating jobs. • Using phone or email to interact with customers and coworkers to plan takeoffs, as well as designs. Coordinating with sales team and account specialist/customer service team to fulfil takeoff and quote necessities.
• Use of AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, Office, Outlook, PDF, the Internet, plan-rooms and bid sites, as well as to gain further information needed for project to perform day-to-day duties.
• Oversee the different stages of a company project to ensure jobs are made and installed according to prepared shop drawing and as per client approved specification.
• Interoperate and be familiar with BCA codes and regulations as per relevant Australian Standard
